Leweb Paris (small speach = interwiev)
Im in a weird stage of my life – so insecure and jet so full of power and new ideas and hope for the post financial crisis… At Leweb I tried not to say anything planned – just talk from the top of my brain.
And I have to say that I get so nervous everytime – but love the effect everytime – 50-100 emails from people who where moved (felt a change in their life) from my silly ideas…

Tranks for your transparency, Morten. I really loved it when you admitted taking the subway. It was a very personal conference and that is the secret of its richness.

Wow the message during your stage, that was important for me, maybe cause the subject was tight on my mood (beguining a new project, full of doubt but believing on my model;) Statup is e new world to discorver
Or simply because I appreciate sincerity, so thx for all this things

Hi Morten, I really appreciated your courage and wisdom at LeWeb. For me you and Chris Anderson were the highlights of LeWeb and I blogged some quotes from you that has gathered positive attention here in Sweden:

So take care and stay just the way you are, and you will be very successful many times over again soon!

Hi Morten,
I am currently studying a Masters in Entrepreneurship at Lund University, the aim of the course is to write a business plan and start a new venture by June 2009. I saw your honest and inspiring presentation at Le Web and shared it with the whole class (about 30 people from all over the world), we all agreed that we would really love the chance to meet you and perhaps hear a presentation from you early in the new year about what you believe it takes to start a new venture (or any other topic you might like to talk about).
I look forward to hearing from you.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year,
Steve

I’ve watched this LeWeb talk and interview several times now, and each time I feel the same electricity in my bones. I found it to be like a universal “reset” button, giving everyone a bit of perspective… (I’ve actually recommended it to many folks in my holiday cards, I think its a great message to start the new year with ;)

Thanks Marten, your off-the-wall, sincere talk touched my soul at a time when I need such affirmation.
I’ve been developing business and web applications in the service of other people’s big ideas for the last 12 years.
During that time I had many of my own innovative ideas and some of the apps I designed and built for companies, they commercialized profitably without giving me any credit.
Now I am quitting my corporate job and I will use what limited savings I have to support myself while I write my own apps in the mobile and social networking spheres and see how they go!!!
After my father died, it slowly sank in that life is finite.
And I finally realized that I’d rather operate at 100% creativity 100% of the time for the rest of my life, even if I’m just eating peanut butter and jelly sandwiches every day and making just enough money to get by, than operate at 10% creativity to serve someone else’s big idea and make 100k+.
My heart goes out to you, for publicly admitting your mistakes during such a difficult time. It takes alot of humility and integrity to do that. And if my ideas do make it big, I will remember to stay humble every day too.

YOU ARE A TRUE ENTREPRENEUR
Best wishes man, you have my deepest respect for the story and for the presentation. Thank you.
