Financial Tsunami Bad For The Healthy Ones

Im scared – really danm scared. As I wrote some weeks ago – the banks dont call their bad dept (keep your head up). This weekend I saw the worst possible thing: A GOOD and HEALTHY real eastate company (400mioEUR was injected and 600mioEUR lent) – was forced into bankrupsy bacause one of the smaller loans was called from a suffering bank – this will mean that we are ONLY SEING THE TIP ICE THE FINANCIAL TSUNAMI.

    This Xmas I’m going to spend 10 days with mom at my aunt’s house in Lyon. It’s been 2 years, and I consider it positively lucky to be able to see her healthy and all (even though at times I have to listen to her whining about the economy, AND the banks).

    Sir..you have been involved in corporate transactions, you know valuations. Try do a funny valuation, whereby you decrease free cash-flow 10%, (in case of real estate vacancy rate NOI), then decrease exit multiple EBITA, (in case of real estate the yield/cap rate), and then combine all that with an increased cost of capital.

    Look at the combined effect on NAV..dude there are buying opportunity not seen better than since LTCM folded in 2000 if you have deep pockets. But here is the an insight..people in the know..say people in distressed debt who called the bottom. They got wiped out..because things got cheaper and I think will get cheaper. Remember a 90% drawdown/fall is equal to an 80% drawdown followed by a 50% drawdown..

    Here is the SECOND free insight..only given to you because you are bust and have 4 children. If you know abit about private equity, fund raising and say web application, why don’t you team up and buy cheap equity states in distressed companies, structure in a CFO, and sell participation to fat German business men(professional investors)?
